- Any offense related to the sexual abuse of children.
- Any offense that is sexual in nature, regardless of the age of the victim.
- Any offense where a child was involved, whether as a victim or an actor.
- Any violent offense.
- Murder, Attempted Murder or Manslaughter.
- Any felony drug conviction.
- Robbery, Arson, Assault, or Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
- Any felony or misdemeanor offense that indicates a pattern of inappropriate behavior (Family Violence, Stalking, Excessive Drinking, etc...)
- Any misdemeanor occurring within the past 5 years
- Active Warrants for Arrest for any reason.
As a part of our ongoing effort to provide a safe environment for our participants, we require all volunteers and staff to undergo a computerized background check annually. Background checks are conducted through an automated computerized system by Background Screeners of America. Their information is pulled directly from information contained within the National Crime Information Center database. Background checks are conducted for a persons reportable criminal history only.
During the background check application, you will be asked to acknowledge information regarding the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This is just a required acknowledgment that the background check company has on their standard application. The First Tee of Fort Worth is not conducting any type of credit check by participating in this background check process. Neither your credit nor credit score will be affected. Once you have completed and submitted your background application, you will have the option to download and save a copy of your submitted application for your records.
The following criteria are grounds for permanent disqualification from working on staff, as a contractor or volunteer with The First Tee of Fort Worth, regardless of whether you were convicted or not:
