Participants should check-in at their respective locations before every class. If this is a participant’s first time at First Tee during the current calendar year, they should receive a 2025 Bag Tag sticker at check-in.

Parents are encouraged to view the Parent’s Page prior to the first day of class!

Participants may be dropped off for check-in no earlier than 30 minutes before class. If participants are dropped off earlier, we cannot guarantee adult supervision so please only arrive early if you plan to remain with them before check-in. Similarly, we encourage that participants are picked up as close to the end of class as possible, but no later than 30 minutes after the end of class. Please do your best to arrive on time to class!

Parents are allowed to stay on site during classes, however we kindly ask that you observe our 25-yard rule (with the exception of our 5-6 year old classes). This requires that parents remain at least 25 yards away from a participant’s group during class. This discourages distractions for participants and allows the coach and participants to fully engage in the lesson.

• Rockwood Park: Enter the course from Jacksboro Hwy and proceed to the bottom parking lot. Check-in will be inside the Learning Center. This parking lot is very busy so please escort your participants through the lot! We will not allow participants to walk through the parking lot without an adult escort. Parents may pick-up on site after class.
• Benbrook Par 3: Pull into the parking lot of the driving range and park in the left side of the lot. Your participant may unload and proceed through the entrance near the building and check-in by the picnic tables under the trees. Parents may park to stay on site or leave and return at the end of class.
• Squaw Creek: Parents should park in the top lot and accompany participants into the Ben Hogan Learning Center for check-in. Parents may remain parked in the top parking lot if they plan to stay on site.
• Texas 9: Parents must accompany participants to the check-in area located along the circle drive outside the front door of the facility. Parents will pick-up at the same location.
• Walnut Creek: Parents should accompany participants to check-in at the main putting green. Parents will pick-up at the same location.

Unfortunately, sometimes the weather can get the best of us. Our team uses several local weather radars to help us make the most accurate decisions we can regarding the status of our classes. The safety of our participants, coaches, and families is always at the core of our decisions. If rain, lightning, or other weather conditions may impede outdoor classes, your site director will notify families according to the policy below. For programs with indoor capability (Rockwood, Squaw Creek, and occasionally Benbrook), classes will be held indoors, regardless of weather, unless dangerous for travel. If classes are canceled multiple times within a single session, we will consider partial refunds for the session on a case-by-case basis.

Lightning Policy: Should lightning strike within 10 miles of our location, we must move indoors (where able) or stop classes until 30 minutes have passed and no other strikes have occurred within 10 miles. (Lightning and metal golf clubs don’t go well together y’all…)

For widespread class cancelation information, look for email notifications, as well as Facebook (@firstteefw) posts 70 minutes prior to the start of the class or call our offices at (817) 420-9370. You must have selected your mobile service provider during registration to receive text notifications.

It is important to make sure your contact info is updated before and during each session. If you haven’t been receiving class updates or your information has recently changed, find out how to update your information here.

If your participant missed a class or a class was canceled, we offer the opportunity for participants to make up the class by attending another class on any day, at any location during that same week (weeks run Monday-Saturday this session). If you know that you will be missing a class or you intend to attend a class other than your usual class, please notify our office so that we can let our coaches know. Upon your arrival to your makeup class, check-in with the coach on site and let them know you are making up for your usual class. Please call our offices to inquire about class schedules at each of our locations.

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Rockwood Park Golf Course – FREE range access. When First Tee classes and camps are programming, First Tee staff will allot 2 spots on the programming side of the driving range during program hours. For range balls outside of classes/camps, present membership tag to the golf shop staff during open hours. Golf shop is located in the Rockwood clubhouse next to the Ben Hogan Learning Center.

Benbrook Driving Range – 20% discount on all bucket sizes. Check in with golf shop staff or utilize sign-in sheet at facility.

Squaw Creek Golf Course Practice – $3 bag of range balls. Present valid membership tag in golf shop.

COURSE ACCESS

Rivers Edge (Short Course at Rockwood Park) – FREE golf with valid membership tag at any time course is open to public. Check in with golf shop staff. (The Rivers Edge course is an “all day” green fee)

Rockwood Park Golf Course – $6 during off-peak times (after 1pm on weekends) and during the weekdays when tee times are available.

Benbrook Par 3 – 20% discount on course rounds and miniature golf rounds with valid membership tag. Sign-in with golf shop staff.

Squaw Creek Golf Course – $5 round of golf at non-peak times. (Usually after 2pm on weekends and weekdays)

No golf experience required! Just a friendly smile and a willingness to engage and encourage our kids!

As a volunteer you will help monitor safety during classes and help the coach reinforce our life skills and golf skills lessons. Many of our volunteers find that not only is there satisfaction in helping a child grow, but they learn a lot about bettering themselves in the process!
