Summer Camp Coordinator

Job Description

The Summer Camp Coordinator brings creativity and structure to First Tee – Fort Worth by planning, organizing and administering the summer camp program. The Summer Camp Coordinator looks to find best practices for a positive and engaging experience for camp participants, parents and coaches alike.

This position can be remote from March through mid-May, but will be in-person for trainings and camps.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact and liaison between camp coaches and First Tee staff through timely and professional communication both through email and in-person.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the summer camp program, including the weekly and daily structure, guest speakers, special programs and events.
  • Work with Site Directors and Director of Programs to schedule camp coaches for all program sites.
  • Program delivery – Conduct camps following First Tee curriculum at least 15 hours per week as assigned by the Director of Programs. 
  • Participate in Program Team meetings as requested.
  • Capture media content during camps that can be utilized to promote First Tee – Fort Worth programs.
  • Oversee general upkeep of program sites, including but not limited to cleaning and organizing equipment before and after programming, and regular facility maintenance.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants, parents, camp coaches and volunteers. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Executive Director and/or Director of Programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must complete and pass a background check and online Safe Sport Training prior to any work for the organization. Prompt completion of these items is required upon renewal.  
  • Must have completed the Assistant Coach Training and have prior involvement with First Tee – Fort Worth.
  • Expected to be present at least 80% of the summer, including summer camp training June 3-5, 2025
  • Ability to complete tasks by required deadlines.
  • Must be able to spend at least 1 day per month at each major site during June, July and August
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (i.e. Sheets, Docs, Forms) or similar
  • Preferred completion of freshman year of college or equivalent.
  • Must be willing and able to demonstrate the First Tee – Code of Conduct on and off the job.

Salary Structure

Base Pay: $15/hour

March 1 – April 30: Maximum of 5 hrs/wk 

May 1-31: Maximum of 10 hrs/wk

June 1-August 8: Maximum of 32 hrs/wk

Benefits

  • Eligible to participate in 401k program with a 4% match after a 90-day vetting period if the participant is at least 21 years of age. Minimum of 4% must be contributed by employee to participate.
  • There is no Paid Time Off with this position. Employee is required to give at least one week notice prior to requested days off.
