Know Before You Go – Camp Edition!

What to know before you get to camp! Please read through ALL of the below information prior to arriving to camp!

First Day Checklist

Before Camp

  • Closed-toed shoes and appropriate athletic attire
  • Water bottle
  • Snacks
  • Golf equipment (if participant already has their own)
    • Did you order a set of clubs from us? Your participant will receive them after checking in.
  • Parents have visited the Parent’s Page

After Camp

  • Water bottle
  • Golf Equipment (those who received clubs should go home with them!)
  • First Tee Bag Tag with 2025 sticker

First time at First Tee? Please plan on arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start of camp! All first time participants receive bag tags and clubs if needed. This process can take time if we have many new participants, so please arrive early to make sure we can start camp on time!

My participant needs clubs! Register your participant for a set of clubs below. They get to keep them and exchange them at no additional cost as they grow!

Check-In/Pick-Up

Participants must be checked-in and checked-out at the designated check-in area by a parent or guardian every day.

Participants may be dropped off for check-in no earlier than 30 minutes before camp. If participants are dropped off earlier, we cannot guarantee adult supervision so please only arrive early if you plan to remain with them before check-in. Similarly, we encourage that participants are picked up as close to the end of class as possible, but no later than 30 minutes after the end of class. If you are running late to a Rockwood or Benbrook camp, please notify our main office at (817) 420-9370. If you are running late to a Squaw Creek camp, please notify us at (682) 224-5984. Please see the instructions specific to your location below. Please do your best to arrive on time to camp so we can start promptly at 9AM and your participant can get to their group!

Parents are allowed to stay on site during camp, however we kindly ask that you observe our 25-yard rule. This requires that parents remain at least 25 yards away from a participant’s group during class. This discourages distractions for participants and allows the coach and participants to fully engage in the lesson.

  • Rockwood Park: (1851 Jacksboro Hwy N) Enter the course from Jacksboro Hwy and proceed to the bottom parking lot. Drop-off and pick-up will be inside the Ben Hogan Learning Center. This parking lot is very busy and we ask that parents/guardians escort participants through the parking lot for their safety.
  • Benbrook Par 3: (1801 Winscott Rd) Pull into the parking lot of the driving range and park in the left side of the lot. Your participant may unload and proceed through the entrance near the building and check-in by the picnic tables under the trees. Parents may park to stay on site or leave and return at the end of camp.
  • Squaw Creek: (1605 Ranch House Rd) Parents should park in the top lot and walk to the Ben Hogan Learning Center for check in.
Inclement Weather

Unfortunately, sometimes the weather can get the best of us. Our team uses several local weather radars to help us make the most accurate decisions we can regarding the status of our classes. The safety of our participants, coaches, and families is always at the core of our decisions. If rain, lightning, or other weather conditions may impede outdoor classes, site directors will notify families according to the policy below. Our Rockwood and Squaw Creek facilities have indoor capability so camps will be held regardless of weather, unless dangerous for travel. If classes are canceled multiple times within a single camp, we will consider partial refunds for the camp on a case-by-case basis.

Lightning Policy: Should lightning strike within 10 miles of our location, we must move indoors (where able) or stop classes until 30 minutes have passed and no other strikes have occurred within 10 miles. (Lightning and metal golf clubs don’t go well together y’all…)

Cancelation Information: Look for text and email notifications, as well as Facebook (@firstteefw) and Twitter (@FirstTeeFW1) posts 70 minutes prior to the start of the camp or call our offices at (817) 420-9370. You must have selected your mobile service provider during registration to receive text notifications.
