2026 Fall Season

NOTE TO ALL LEAGUE FAMILIES – The Fort Worth City golf courses have a policy that does not allow any kids under 5 years old to be on a city golf course.  So that includes Rivers Edge at Rockwood as well as Pecan Valley courses for spectating/riding along with parents in carts.

PGA Jr. League Beginner Division Ages 6-15

PGA Jr. League Competitive Division Ages 11-17

Scoring Info – Each group is playing against the group in front or behind them.  With 13u each two holes is a match.  So a 24 ties a 33.  Total score for the two holes does not matter, it is match play for each hole.  Each 2 holes depending on league is worth 1 point for your overall team score.  The goal is to win all 3 points.

With 17U league scoring is the same as 13U except they play 9 holes instead of 6.

How To Register

There are two parts to registering for PGA Jr. League with First Tee — Fort Worth. To get the process started, register for PGA Jr. League just as you would register for classes or camps with First Tee — Fort Worth.

Fees are $50 per participant for the Fall League for 13U and $70 for 17U.  Financial aid is available during the checkout process.

Once you register through our site, you will receive an email with instructions on completing the second portion of the registration process which will allow your participant to be assigned a team.  During this registration there is an annual $120 per participant fee cost to cover the team gear (shirts, hats, etc.)  You can request a scholarship for this fee or if you are military you can also request a scholarship.

What is PGA Jr. League?

Sponsored by the PGA of America, PGA Jr. League brings friends, families, and communities together through the game of golf by offering team-based, competition golf for kids of all ages and skill levels. First Tee — Fort Worth is proud to host its own section of PGA Jr. League captained by our very own PGA member, Coach Chuck Dechert.

Participants register to play in the 13U or 17U leagues where they will be assigned to a team. Participants on each team play a predetermined number of holes in a scramble format in a group of 2-5 participants on the same team. Each week, teams are matched against each other to determine the number of points earned by each team at the end of a match. Points are accumulated among teams after each match to determine a champion team at the end of the season.

Parents will receive information on tee times and pairings prior to each match.

Who Can Play?

Experienced or not, any First Tee — Fort Worth participant between the ages of 6 and 17 can register to play in PGA Jr. League in either the 13U League or the 17U League. If a participant is turning 18 prior to July 31 it will not let you enroll in PGA Jr. League due to age turning older than 17.  A participant under the age of 11 who has played competitive golf may move up to the 17U League with permission from a coach.

Our Beginner League consists of junior golfers between the ages of 6 and 15 still getting acquainted with on-course golf.  This group plays at the Rivers Edge 6-hole course at our Rockwood Golf Course program location.  A typical match may take around 1 1/2 hours to finish once a group tees off their first hole.

Our Competitve League consists of more experienced players between the ages of 11 and 17 that are trying to be more competitive with the game.  We typically play Squaw Creek and Pecan Valley golf courses and play 9-hole matches.  A typical match may take 2 1/2 – 3 hours to play once a group has teed off.
