Who We Are

We enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do.

Our Mission:

The mission of First Tee – Fort Worth is to impact the lives of young people by providing inclusive educational programs and learning experiences that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. We are dedicated to empowering youth from all backgrounds, helping them develop inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that will guide them in all aspects of life.

First Tee — Fort Worth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, independent of First Tee national. We rely 100% on local support from numerous corporations, foundations and individuals.

HISTORY

Founded in 2004 as the Lindy Miller Foundation for Junior Golf, First Tee – Fort Worth continues to build character and empower kids and teens through accessible and inclusive programming. Our modest beginnings were with a small staff and volunteers. Today, we have impactful partnerships with facilities like Benbrook Par-3, Ben Hogan Learning Centers at Rockwood and Squaw Creek and schools such as Briscoe Elementary.
